Bridges! Bridges! Bridges!

As a culminating project to our third unit, students used various materials to construct a bridge of their very own. In the following pictures, you will see a variety of bridges built with lots of creativity!

Moving THINKING to HIGHER LEVELS!!!

In each of these photos you will see students working in cooperative learning groups. They are practicing how to politely agree and disagree.. as well as practicing how to come to a "consensus." Students in our class are also learning how to "justify" an answer. In the pictures that follow, the students are demonstrating how to complete the newly added "vocabulary" station. They are given a list of 8 words and they must decide on how best to order them (i.e. most happy to least happy- with words that include lucky.. merry.. content..ect). The students did an excellent job of working as a team. This work is increasing the vocabulary knowledge in each student's repertoire.

Check it out!! Our Sonora Scholar of the week is......Guadalupe Najera!!! This student

is consistenly always wanting to do her best. She is kind and polite to her neighbors. Guadalupe is a star student because she always wants to turn in work that she is proud of in class. Her work is exemplary! We are proud of you for always coming to school with a smile!

Way to go, Guadalupe!!!

Our classroom Christmas Party will be full of laughter and cheer!! We will be making an ornament, enjoying some great food and games. It be held Friday, December 20^th @ 2:00. Our Hoot n’ Holler Assembly will begin at 1:00 in the cafeteria. Parents- we need your help! Please bring an item where you would find your last name (i.e. E-H for House).
