Here is an example of a student summarizing a non-fiction story on "Dinosaur Digs." The summary is based on a guided reading book from class. The students are uploading these videos on their own into Google Classroom. Hoot! Hoot!

Important News from 2nd Grade!

Our class celebrating Valentine's Day!! Thank you to everyone who volunteers in assisting with your classroom parties!! :) The students LOVE when their families are able to join them in our holiday celebrations. 








We are in the process of creating our own "Dr. Seuss Hats." Each student devoted a great deal of time in creating their hat!

After listening to "Stone Soup," students were invited to retell the story using Legos. Following the design of their scene, they were asked to create a paragraph summarizing what happened in their part of the story. They were asked to retell either the beginning, middle or end of the story.
