I have started to receive some wonderful letters from each of you in the mail!! I am so excited to visit my mailbox each day!! I can tell you are really enjoying your summer by the adventures you are sharing with me. Please continue to write! I will write you back!! I look forward to seeing you in August and hearing all about the different books you have read and places you have visited! 

Field Trip to the University of Arkansas

University of Arkansas students kindly shared information about their country. Our class learned about Cameroon, Indonesia and Romania during three different breakout sessions. However, when the entire grade came back together - they had the opportunity to play various games, musical instruments and try on different types of clothing that could be considered popular in other countries. This field trip connects to Unit 5 which emphasizes the study of countries, continents and cultures.

The Second-Grade ROCKED the ITBS!!! 

Our class celebrated their efforts after a big week of testing!! They persevered and did their BEST on the TEST!!!
